When our CEO came into our departments weekly management meeting and asked who would be interested in The Genographic project I was very surprised. He held a little box up and I saw the National Geographic logo and knew immediatly this was my chance to learn about my deepest ancestry. The CEO gave it to me when I, as the only manager with interest into genealogy, asked him for it.
I took the kit home and study’d the content. The test was very simple and I took the DNA material into the little tubes and sent them to the lab. Then the waiting started. After a few weeks the status changed and my package was registerd at the lab. Several weekes later I got the results. As it appears I’m a West European haplo type guy. And this is not strange to me beacuase of my appearance.
After the project I donated all the DNA material to the Family Tree DNA site. When a Dubbelman gives his DNA also then the camparision tells us if we are related or not. Then we can do more testing to give a more recent prediction. Someone of the Jan pedigree maybe?
