APEX, N.C. — Sarah Renee Dubbelman of Cary, and Jonathan Stephen Welch of Greenwood, S.C. were married 2 p.m. Saturday at Apex Baptist Church.

Wedding music was presented by pianist James Forrest of Durham, violinist Christin Danchi, vocalists Victoria Summers and Rebekah Aiken, all of Raleigh and Lindsey Fisher of Tampa, Fla.

The bride is the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. Peter Dubbelman of Cary. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John F.A. Dubbelman of Cedar Grove, N.J., Jo Ann Clark of Virginia Beach, Va., and the late Charles John Clark. She is a graduate of North Carolina State University and is employed by Carrington Middle School as a sixth grade language arts teacher.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Stephen Welch of Greenwood, S.C. He is the grandson of the Rev. and Mrs. James W. Welch of Due West, S.C., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thrailkill Sr. He is a graduate of Duke University and is attending South Eastern Seminary. He is employed by Summit Church.

Ruth Dubbelman of Cary, the bride’s sister was maid of honor.

Bridesmaids were Rebekah Aiken, Elizabeth Dreyling, Meredith McDaniel, Katherine Moore, Victoria Summers and Jamie Peebles, all of Raleigh, Julianne Welch of Greenwood, the bridegroom’s sister and Kristianna Barnes of Denver.

The bride wore a strapless mermaid style gown with a cathedral length train. The front and back bodice were scattered heavily with beads, pearls and crystals.She wore a long veil trimmed with crystals and pearls.She carried a bouquet of all red roses.

The bridegroom’s father was best man.Groomsmen were Samuel Dubbelman and Luke Dubbelman, both of Cary, the bride’s brothers, Jeremy Welch of Greenwood, the bridegroom’s brother, Graham Culbertson, Nathaniel Evans, Mathew Hawk, Wesley Tubel and Christopher Pappalardo, all of Durham.The bride’s parents were hosts of a reception at the church. After a wedding trip to Orange Beach, Ala., the couple will live in Durham.
