-%20Landstorm.jpg) | The chalkboard tells us that this photo was taken in 1916 and that the boys on the photo were members of the "landstorm" a sort of military reserve force. My grandfather Hendrik Arie Dubbelman is the boy right sitting next to the chalkboard. He was at that time probably 18 year's old. The landstorm was founded in 1913. It's members were not to be drafted by the army unless The Netherlands would be invaded. By that time the German threat was already known, although the Netherlands escaped from World War I.

 | This photo is taken in 1942 at the 12,5 years anniversary of the marriage of Wouter Marinus Dubbelman with his wife Elizabeth Boele. At that time there were four children born out of this marriage. Tragically the last one has died after two day's about five months before the anniversary.
