28 juli 2008; My vacation at
home this year is really well spent. Have set up two seperate domains a .nl
and a .net. Separated the pages and simplified the map structures. Als added
a new article to the fact and figures page. See at the bottom. More to come,
new photo's, new articles and updated pedigree's.
-
19 may 2008; The three major
pedigrees are updated with cencus data from 1900 to 1945. About 30 new
people, 20 marriages and 25 death records added to the pedigrees of Thomas,
Jan and Michiel. Piet Dubbelman gave me some really historic marriages from
the period 1614 -1698.
But no match with one of the pedigrees.
-
2 may; All pedigrees
repaired. Some changes to photo's page of Wouter Marinus Dubbelman.
-
20 April 2008, Only now the
genial database is up to date again. After restoring about three pages
differences between the restored database and the latest published pedigree
of Michiel and Jan had to be typed in to the program I use. The pedigree of
Jan is now bigger thanks to Jessica Delnoy who was so kind to give me the
data of her family after their approvement. Now only Thomas and Aappo are to
be updated. Next weekend propably.

23 march 2008, never buy a
Packard Bell computer. My daughter has the newest computer at home and so I
use it for me becaus my computer died. Yesterday the Packard Bell
computer got repaired from a broken power supply. The computer is only 8
months old. But no more about this PC. The website now has more census count
information under Facts & Figures, "Various census counts etc.". Also more
Dobbelmann census counts.

06 march 2008, Bad luck for
me and good news for you! At least when you understand Dutch. Due to Windows
Vista on the computer of my eldest daughter my genealogical database and all
my documents were lost. Repairing gave my daughter all her stuff back but
mine was lost. A back-up of some months ago gave me back the programs and
database but there is much lost. But the website is now fully translated to
Dutch. This news section is translated by a robot but the rest is from my
hand. From now on the English and Dutch site will be maintained
simultaneous. Also solved a nasty problem with the menu. First in the
English version later also in the Dutch version the pages opened in the menu
frame. It was a combination of Frontpage
and the name of the target frames.
-
10 October 2007, The Pedigree
of Michiel is been updated. Wessel Polak is added born 06-02-2007. And a
divorce is added also from a Polak family member. Lenina Polak was so kind
to give me the details and update. Due to the privacy legislation of the
Netherlands it is more and more difficult to publish genealogical facts and
photo's of living persons. Every fact or photo must have the permission of
the person it belongs to. A first disclaimer like text has now appeared at
the title page. When I use the privacy export function of my genealogical
program, the visitor can not possible find their family link. This feature
is the reason for publishing all together.2

2 September 2007; After a
hard disk crash of my computer I lost all my e-mail and several collected
websites I was investigating and translating. But luckily I managed to salve
my personal files and genealogical program and all its data. So I'm pleased
to tell you that all the pedigrees are updated. Some new marriages, parents,
corrections and so on. Also due to guestbook contributions. Further the
Census page is updated with Dobbelman and Dobbelmann telephone listings. The
next update there will be more attention and information about this
family's.
- 21 April 2007; Thank to Mirja an Marica there is a new small pedigree to find. Aappo Dubbelman came from Russia. It is known that the Swedisch, Finnish and Estonian Dubbelman family probably came from Russia. How the name appeared in Russia is not known for sure. My theory is that a German or a Dutch Dubbelman came to live in Russia, maybe through Tsar Peter the Great.
- 28
January 2007; The Michael pedigree has a new look due to the use of Cascading Style Sheets. My genealogy program (Pro-Gen) has a new export interface that supports CSS. In this I'am able to get the website updated more easy than before. The pedigree of Michael has expanded some more thanks to a contribution of Monique Dubbelman the link of her own family has been established.
- 18 November 2006; The Pedigree section is fully reformed. It will give first visitors quickly information of what to find in one glimpse. The drop box has been removed. The next step is to change the story's itself to get them more easy to go back to the sub page.
-
11 November 2006; The autumn sets slowly in. Nature responds to the warm relative temperatures and the leaves of the trees are not so brown like former years. It's the season to spent more time in my Escape (see also 3 nov. 2005). But my kids are more and more relying on my computer for printing and the internet for school. Time to get them to the home network with their own computers. Maybe I'll get the time to make a two lingual website (English and Dutch).
- 28 February 2006; The spring is almost beginning but in the Netherlands it is raining, snowing and sunshine all together. The temperature is around 4 degrees Celcius. No weather te be outside, so its time to work at my site. The pedigrees of Jan and Michiel are updated after receiving the data from Piet.
-
6 november 2005; The winter is approaching after a really warm October and it's the season to work in my shed were I made my home office and that I call "The Escape". Thanks to the great service of the Dutch internet census database of Genlias were I registered some search items, I get more and more information to add to the pedigrees. Also more people like to give me the update off their family data. There are over 3000 persons registered in my database. And nearly 1000 marriages.
- 3 may 2005; Just uploaded Thomas Dobbelmann pedigree. Additions are some children and census records.
- 16 april 2005; Error with links in pedigree repaired and Thomas pedigree updated. Four generations of Dobbelmann's owned the Dutch soap factory who made the Dobbelman soap and the famous still used in the Netherlands 'groene zeep". At the site of Jo West is the pedigree of Thomas to see with the Hoener family further researched. www.jowest.net
- 9 April 2005; The Pedigree of Thomas Dobbelmann has grown with several marriages and children Dobbelmann. Thanks to Piet Dubbelman again. Several others contributed also. Pieter Verbunt gave me the family of Cornelis Johannes Dubbelman and Adriana Geertruida Verbunt. Truus Vink-Schutte and Piet Dubbelman contributed two new family's. See Michael pedigree. The history section has many new additions. First respond of Russian Genealogy Forum for information about Russian Dubbelman family's. Hope to get more info later.
- 11 December 2004; The pedigree of Cornelis Jans Dubbelman has been renamed to his father Jan Dubbelman. A brother of Cornelis was already in my database but until now I could not be certain that they were family. The efforts of Piet Dubbelman revealed the witnesses who were the proof of the relation. One of the children of Adriaan Jans Dubbelman, Claasje married to Michiel Jaspers van Kleef and their children had witnesses that linked Adriaan and Cornelis to each other as brothers and son of Jan Dubbelman. Surname count of the database refreshed and put under pedigree menu.
- 13 November 2004, Pedigree of Michiel contains many corrections and add-ons. Again thanks to Piet Dubbelman. I believe he's right now in the archive to research more info.
- 29 august 2004; Corrected Pedigree menu. The select boxes resulted in pop-up windows. Now the pages open in the normal frame. Also searched the Internet again and contacted several people for more info. Due to the Dutch legislation of privacy I will be forced to correct the pedigrees in that way that from living people no other information then their relations appear. The next publication of the Pedigrees will be in that form. In the near future the Michiel Dubbelman and the Thomas Dobbelmann pedigrees will be extended with several contributions.
- 30 July 2004; After receiving information from John Conradi, I was able to fill in the names of two family photo's of my great-grandfather. They can be found in the Gallery under "Photo's of the past" under the family of Hendrik Arie Dubbelman. By Pieter Francois Dubbelman I received an envelope with more then 12 pages of info and photo's. The photo's are not published yet. But the story of his great-grandfather who emigrated to South Africa can be found under Pedigree, category History facts.
- 28-03-2004; Received the e-mails that were sent to fam-dubbelman.net months later due to misconfiguration of my retrieving mail programme. Found a e-mail from Cornelis Dubbelman and his wife and Tom M.A.R. Dubbelman gave me an update of his family with his grandchildren. Also received a South African e-mail with information about the connection to the pedigree, but not enough to put it in already.
- 24 December 2003; Just before Christmas I received once more data from Piet Dubbelman. The three pedigrees are updated and corrected. Also the surnames which appear in my database are indexed again. In alphabetical orde you can find how many people with the same surname appear in the database.
- 7 December 2003; Renewed menu and pages. It is the first step to change the website in a two languages version and into a more simple to maintained version. Hope you like it so far.
- 3 may 2003; After converting the website to the new domain several fixes were necessary. Some links did not function and some pages needed corrections. The Dubbelman Connection does now contain more information than ever, demographical information for instance. Also the story of the eldest Dubbelman in the history section is added and more. Discover it yourself.
- 8 december 2002; The last two weekends I worked several hours to put in all the data Piet Dubbelman has sent me. Over 1900 persons now available in the database. The pedigrees of Michiel, Cornelis and Thomas are more complete than ever. They vary in size however much. Michiel, my own pedigree is the biggest, followed by the pedigree of Cornelis and Thomas.
- 6 december; Page added about Cornelis Dubbelman who once was the eldest living person in the Netherlands. He reached the staggering age of 104 years and belongs to the Cornelis Pedigree. The photo's and text are in Dutch and translated in English. See it for your self and follow the History menu.
- 19 august 2002; The vacation is almost over and although it always is an expensive time, I've made the step to claim and set up a really own internet domain. The www.fam-dubbelman.net domain represents the theme of The Dubbelman Connection, a family's Dubbelman network. A network that makes it possible that all descendants of any Dubbelman could find his or her roots. Recently I've together with my brother Hans reviewed the database and deleted double records and made a list of things to correct and research in the archives. The last months several contributions of data were made from fellow genealogists who contribute frequently like Piet and Vera Dubbelman, Dick Botbijl and John FA Dubbelman. This time also more from different others like Leo Suverein who provided me with a marriage from Catharina Dubbelman and Johannes de Bok. A new translation of the Aleksanteri Dubbelman pages was provided by Matti Laaksonen.
- 2 July 2002; The last half year we spent, with many help from Piet Dubbelman from the Cornelis pedigree, perfecting the data and completing family's. Over 1750 persons appear in the database. The change that living relatives could not find their family history is becoming smaller and smaller. Also got the photo section in order again.
- 24 November 2001; Added a page with all surnames and the number how much they appeared in my database. See in Genealogical Section; Family Names Count. Also uploaded fresh pedigrees. The files are growing bigger and I have the ability to split them up. Let me know if you'd like that. It could speed up the loading of the pedigrees. The count of the Database says 1550 persons and 1018 of them are named Dubbelman, Dubbelmann of Dobbelmann.
-
21 October 2001; Menu perfected and alternative menu link added. The number of people in the registration is now over 1500 and about 1000 of them are called Dubbelman. It's more and more likely that every Dubbelman who has ancestors in The Netherlands can connect to one of the pedigrees.
-
20 October 2001; Yesterday I went with my brother Hans to The Hague to visit once again the provincial archive. The search in about 150 books with ten yearly indexes of birth, marriage and death records, resulted in about 15 new persons in the pedigree's of Cornelis and Michiel. The new data is available already. The people came from the towns Puttershoek, Nieuw Lekkerland and Papendrecht. In the period between 1812 and 1912 the Dubbelman family seems to concentrate in a relative small area around the Biesbosch. However in our last visit it was proven once again that if you want to be sure you get all the info you've to look in all towns.
-
19 October 2001; Discovered that I used the wrong output of the pedigrees. Correct this tomorrow.
-
7 October 2001; New newsletter sent to subscribers.
-
7 October 2001; Banners checked and removed Canadian Webring because of invalid addresses. The only webring is the Benelux webring.
-
6 October 2001; Website was long time not reachable due to technical problems. Today I could repair my page and publish the many new data in the genealogy's. Now about 1500 persons in the database.
-
7 February 2001; Thank's to several people who contributed several data and corrections and are giving me their own information and even perform investigations in archives, the number of people in the database is now 1300. Thank you Piet, Mar, Huib Dubbelman and Nico Lucas for your help, and all the other's I received e-mails from.
-
14 January 2001; The tree's are growing. Thanks to John F.A. Dubbelman and his brother Frans C.H.M. Dubbelman the Thomas tree has grown some more. The tree of Cornelis is brought to the current period by adding the information contributed by Piet S. Dubbelman. Further I want to thank all the other persons who contibuted some information. The total persons in the database is now 1280.
-
5 January 2001; Many new entry's to the genealogical trees. for about 40 persons added to the database. Total of all named Dubbelman or Dubbelmann is now nearly 900. The total registrated persons total is 1250.
-
27 December 2000; Great news. Hilger Dubbelman and his descendants were found in Rotterdam. But I couldn't ty them to a existing tree. Thanks to John F.A. Dubbelman who gave me Hilger's roots, it seems this is a fully separate and new family. This could be the origin of the Russian/Finnish Dubbelman family's or it is not at all.
-
22 November 2000; New Zealand has got a rather large population of Dubbelman's. I've got from Adriaan Dubbelman much information but we can't link his family to our data. So you can't find his info in the genalogy's yet.
-
New member of the Dubbelman clan, Rosanne Marijke, daughter of Anton Johan Dubbelman and Maria Lena Theresia van Viegen. She was born 11 september 2000. See XIII.10 in genealogy of Michiel.
-
05-11-2000 Many new functions added. PGP key, Search engine, Mailinglist subscription, new genealogical data and sorting changed in order by generation instead of family. Piet Dubbelman contributed a whole family to add to the tree of Cornelis.
-
23-10-2000 Interested story's added of the origin of the name and pages splitted for more convenience.
-
17-10-2000 In 'Photo's from the past and today' several photo's added with links to pages on the Internet were I found the picture. I hope to hear from someone, who looks at these photo's, that he or she knows this person.
-
The Dubbelman Connection can also be reached by http://www.fam-dubbelman.net and you can mail me as henk@fam-dubbelman.net.
-

- The 7th of august more information available after digging in the archives. Also index added for better searching the genealogical information.
-
29 January 2000 Many information added to the different branches. Mainly short living children and death dates.
