Were did I find the name Dubbelman so far ?

It seems to me that all who are named Dubbelman originated in the Netherlands. Dubbelman is a name you can find in all parts of the world. Many emigrated form the Netherlands it seems. Some ties can't be made yet though. For example if only I could link the Russian, Finnish, Swedish Dubbelman branch to the Netherlands.
Below you can find what I found or what fellow Dubbelman's told me. The countries are listed in alphabetical order.

Australia

In Australia I found Abigail Dubbelman. She is owner of a web design and hosting provider. She is the second generation of an emigrated Dubbelman. Many family's emigrated from the Netherlands to Australia.

Belgian

On the site of the Belgian TV and radio broadcasting organization I found Tamara Dubbelman. It seemed she was a study friend of the girl who married the Belgian prince, air to the throne. Delphine you can find in the section Photo's

Canada

I am currently trying to get in contact with several Dubbelman's in Canada. They are propably of Dutch origine.

England

Joanne Dubbelman wrote in my guestbook that there are Dubbelman's in England too. The origin of her own family is in some degree related to my own. Her great great grandmother was from my tree (Michael).

Nederland

In the Netherlands I've found several Dubbelman on the Internet. Some more up to date information in the genealogical section I've got from them.

Russia

From Cecilia Rosén Dubbelman i've got an explanation of how the Russian branch of Dubbelman's came to Finland and Sweden. The Dubbelman family was divided in the beginning of World War II about 1939-1940. They lived in Ingermanland which was a part of Finland at that time. When the Russians occupied the country the people had about 24 hours to decide if they wanted to leave the country or to stay. Those who stayed, became Russians and those who left to Finland became Finnish people. For more then 20 years, the relatives where not allowed to have any contact without the Russian governments permission.

Sweden

I once was on a business trip in Sweden. In Malmö I discovered there was a Dubbelman listed in the phone book. Later I found Rita Dubbelman who told me she was a descendant of Russian Dubbelman's. The story goes that there still live people with this name near St. Petersburg in Russia.

South Africa

In Republic of South Africa I found Adriaan Dubbelman, the Chairman of a big corporation. A few years later Pieter Dubbelman . Pieter knew about the history of his family and he was the fifth generation Dubbelman and a descendant of Cornelis Jansz. Dubbelman.

Thailand

Marcel Dubbelman is of Dutch origin and works in Thailand. His company produces mosquito nets.

USA

The first sign that there were Dubbelman's outside of The Netherlands I got from my first steps on the internet. Kyra Dubbelman from prospero.com was the first I encountered. She came from the United States of America. I knew from family tradition that one Dubbelman emigrated to the USA. I can't point out who it was. Since then I've also found rev. Peter Dubbelman and his wife Brenda and others.
